You could be forgiven for thinking that video games in 2018 start and end with Fortnite and Minecraft. These games are as popular with kids today as Mario was back in our day!

Fortnite in particular hits the headlines on a daily basis it seems. If it’s not Ross Kemp (Grant Mitchell to you and me) doing the worst ‘Dad dancing’ ever on TV with his ‘floss’, it’s Kirsty Allsop smashing up her kids’ iPads because of it. These games along with other blockbuster properties like Mario and Pokemon are played everywhere and are worldwide phenomenoms.

Scratch the surface though and there’s a plethora of exciting new games hitting the market from new ‘Indie’ developers. Many of them are based in Manchester and the North West. It’s not surprising that Manchester is a hotbed for this creative talent given its history and heritage in both computing and culture.

We’ve teamed up with Manchester Gamers Unite and some of the regions leading devs to bring your family the very latest gaming experiences including ‘Multiplayer VR’, Augmented Reality and exciting pre-release games.

If your kids are interested in careers in the gaming industry, they can speak to the devs and get some tips from a pro!

The Indie games will be featured in the ‘Glorious Gaming’ zone alongside the Fortnite and Minecraft areas where there will be competitions and ‘loot’ to be won! Gamers will not want to miss it!

The ‘Glorious Gaming’ zone is one of eleven zones at Digital Kids Show Manchester. All attractions are included in your Full Day ticket which gives you up to 7 hours of fun at this unique family day out!

Tickets are limited. Book here to avoid disappointment!
